Daniel Worden is assistant professor in the Department of English at the University of New Mexico. He teaches and writes about 20th- and 21st-century American literature, with an emphasis on the connections between popular and literary fiction, experimentations with form and genre, and representations of the American West. He has written essays on Mary Austin, the HBO television series Deadwood, literary culture in the American Southwest, among other subjects, and he is also the author of Masculine Style: The American West and Literary Modernism, the recipient of the Thomas J. Lyon Book Award in Western American Literary and Cultural Studies. |
